Introduction of Dalang Charity Foundation
Dalang Charity Foundation was formally established on 28th November 2018, which is mainly used to promote the traditional Chinese virtues of ‘respecting the old and loving the young, respecting literature and education, and helping the weak and the needy’ within the Group, to practice social responsibility, to transmit positive corporate energy, to promote philanthropy, as well as to provide a platform for the Group’s employees to express their philanthropic love and care.
Scholarship Award Ceremony
Dalang Charity Foundation’s ‘2024 Scholarship Award Ceremony’ was held at 9:00am on 16th August 2024 at Dalang Group’s R&D and manufacturing base. Leaders of the Foundation and representatives of the Group’s employees attended this event.
The event was hosted by Mr Zhao Shiyang, Chairman of Dalang Charity Foundation. Firstly, he warmly welcomed all the delegates to the sixth scholarship award ceremony organised by the Foundation, and then encouraged the students to persevere in their studies, work hard and keep their faith. This scholarship not only reflects the Foundation’s care and attention to the education of employees’ children, but also inspires the pursuit of knowledge and continuous progress. He sincerely hoped that new and old employees would continue to learn and improve themselves through various continuing education platforms, and he also hoped that the Foundation would continue to receive support from all of you in the future, and he believed that more outstanding students would be on the podium.
Mr Ho Chi Hung, Chairman of Dalang Group, said: First of all, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Group of Companies, I would like to congratulate the students, you are the pride of your parents. At the same time, he is honoured that his daughter, who has obtained a double master’s degree from Columbia University and the University of Chicago, is one of the winners of this scholarship. Secondly, he sent three hopes to the outstanding students: firstly, to be a healthy and happy outstanding student who knows how to be grateful; secondly, to be an outstanding student who is ideal, moral, cultured and disciplined; and thirdly, to be an outstanding student who does not live up to the youth, does not live up to his youthfulness, and strives to pursue the ideal goal in life! Finally, I wish the students a better and better future!
Next, we invited He Yuansheng, General Manager of Guangdong Dalang Waterpark Equipment Co. Mr He said, ‘Today is a day full of hope and joy, on behalf of Dalang Group, we would like to congratulate the outstanding staff, students and parents!’ Then, Mr He earnestly expected the students to make every effort to learn scientific and cultural knowledge and continuously improve their abilities and qualities. At the same time, he encouraged the staff of the Group to educate their children with all their heart, so that the children can change their destiny with knowledge and become outstanding contributors to the society with outstanding achievements in the future.
Mr Li Yixin, Advisor of Dalang Charity Foundation and Director and Vice President of Administration of Guangdong Dalang Waterpark Equipment Company Limited, also expressed his gratitude to the Charity Foundation as a platform, and that the Foundation’s awards have always inspired and accompanied his son’s growth and progress. His son graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Master’s Degree this year and is the recipient of the second scholarship from Dalang Charity Foundation. We expect our students to be proactive in their daily studies, discard arrogance and maintain their excellence. Parents’ timely reminders and necessary discipline play a key role in their children’s education.
In her speech of thanks, the representative of the award-winning staff, Ho Hung Yin, said, ‘We are very grateful for the encouragement given by Dalang Charity Foundation. We should have a sense of continuous learning and make unremitting efforts. Secondly, we should be persistent in the learning process, and look up to and strive for excellence. Finally, I sincerely wish the Dalang Charity Foundation to be better and better!’
Representatives of staff’s family members and award-winning students on stage to receive the award
Mr Zhao Shiyang, Chairman of Dalang Charity Foundation, announced the winners of the awards and invited the representatives of the staff’s family members and the outstanding students to come up to the stage to receive the awards. Awardees: Yini He (Double Master Degree), Yuan Li (Master Degree); Hongyan He (Bachelor Degree); Yuki Tseng, Yuanxiang Xi, Ziyi Zi, Xiaotong Xue (Upper Bachelor Degree); Linlin Cao, Xiaohan Xue, Yuxuan Tseng, Bingliang Yao, Yilin He (Junior High School and Senior High School)
Finally, the host announced that the scholarship award ceremony came to a successful end! We expect every employee to go forward, and wish every student to live up to their youth and achieve excellence. At the same time, we pray that Dalang Charity Foundation will flourish and get better and better, Dalang Group’s business will prosper and become more and more brilliant, and everyone will work happily and live happily!
